Robert W. Guthrie
CEO

As CEO and founder of Guthrie Real Estate, Rob Guthrie is responsible for the firm's vision, values and company strategy. He works closely with debt and equity partners and the real estate brokerage community, and he is actively involved in all strategic decisions affecting the company. With more than 25 years of experience in commercial real estate, Rob has held an ownership interest in the acquisition and development of more than six million square feet of property. During his leadership, Guthrie Real Estate has consistently been ranked as one of the top commercial developers in Orange County. Prior to founding GRE, Rob was a general partner with Burke Real Estate Group for 16 years, where he was instrumental in the firm's growth and success. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance (Real Estate Emphasis) from the University of Southern California, as well as a Certificate in Real Property Development & Management. Rob currently resides in Newport Beach with his wife and three children.

John O'Brien
President

As President of Guthrie Real Estate, John O'Brien oversees all acquisition, due diligence, property management, and development activities for Guthrie Real Estate. Prior to joining Guthrie, O'Brien was a broker for industrial division of Grubb and Ellis, as well as the Director of Asset Management and Project Director with Burke Real Estate Group. With a 20-year tenure in the industrial real estate business, Mr. O'Brien conducted the acquisition due diligence for more than 1 million square feet of multi-tenant industrial property, personally managed over 600,000 square feet of industrial, office, and retail space in Orange and Los Angeles Counties, and has been responsible for the development of more than 1.5 million square feet of industrial and R&D product. O'Brien earned his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of California, Irvine and a Master of Arts degree in business from Webster University in St. Louis. He retired from the US Marine Corps in 2009 as a Lieutenant Colonel.

Daria Rose, CPA
Chief Financial Officer

Since 2000, Daria has been responsible for all of Guthrie’s corporate, partnership, and property management accounting and financial and tax reporting for over 40 entities at the owner, investor and lender levels. She collaborates with all associated parties on property acquisitions and dispositions, including assisting in due diligence and financial analysis. She has over 25 years of accounting experience with over 15 in real estate and is also a licensed Certified Public Accountant.

Gary D. Guzman
Vice President

Mr. Guzman manages Guthrie Real Estate’s asset acquisitions and dispositions and is also responsible for the financial analysis, due diligence, financing, entitlement, and construction management of the company’s acquisition and development projects. He also facilitates the management of $90 million in assets on behalf of several institutional clients. He has over 20 years of commercial real estate experience including the development / repositioning of over 100 industrial buildings totaling over one million square feet of space with a value of $150 million. Prior to joining the company, he was Vice President/Loan Officer and Investment Manager at Heller Financial / GE Capital, Toyo Trust and Fuji Bank where he originated and underwrote over $550 million in debt and equity financings and managed over $600 million in loans. Guzman earned his BS degree in Mathematics – Economics from the University of California, Los Angeles and is also a licensed California real estate broker.
